Wyoming Office of the Governor - Dave Freudenthal

Gov. Dave supports process

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has announced it will move into the next planning phase of the Gateway West transmission line project.
The BLM has compiled a list of route alternatives, which a draft environmental impact statement (EIS) for the project will consider in detail.
After receiving significant feedback from the public regarding route alternatives proposed in the northern Laramie Range and near the community of Fort Steele, Gov. Freudenthal worked with the BLM, Rocky Mountain Power and Idaho Power to identify possible compromise routes. Gov. Freudenthal hopes the public will continue providing input when the BLM provides a review period of the draft EIS, which should be released in the summer of 2010.
