Governor Mead’s Council on Impaired Driving to Hold First Meeting
CHEYENNE, Wyo. – The Governor’s Council on Impaired Driving will meet on Thursday January 12, 2012 at the Little America in Cheyenne. Governor Matt Mead signed an Executive Order establishing this Council on September 16, 2011, and January 12th marks its first meeting.
Governor Mead set up the Council to continue the fight against impaired driving and to try and prevent more deaths. “We have taken important steps to curtail impaired driving. I believe this Council is necessary so we never stop working to keep all of our citizens safe,” Governor Mead said.
The co-chairs of the Council are Rich Adriaens, the Chief of Police in Sheridan and Mike Blonigen, the Natrona County District Attorney. The meeting will start at 10:00 a.m.
