Wyoming Statehood Day

 

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – On this day in 1890 Wyoming was admitted to the Union as the 44th state. Governor Matt Mead marked Wyoming Statehood Day with a visit to the Wyoming Territorial Prison State Historic Site in Laramie.
