WYOMING MOTORCYCLE SAFETY AND AWARENESS MONTH
WHEREAS, the numbers of motorcycle, sidecar, and tricycle riders traveling the roads and highways of Wyoming increase each spring; and
WHEREAS, such alternative forms of transportation render these travelers more vulnerable to cars, trucks and other vehicles when on the road, both inside city limits and out on the open highway; and
WHEREAS, all Wyoming motorists should pay careful attention to the rules of the road and to other travelers in all types of vehicles; and
WHEREAS, A.B.A.T.E. chapters throughout the state will actively promote safe motorcycle operation, increased rider training, and better motorist awareness; and
WHEREAS, not only in May but throughout the year, A.B.A.T.E. encourages all drivers to drive carefully and share the roadways throughout the state of Wyoming.
NOW THEREFORE, I, DAVE FREUDENTHAL, Governor of the State of Wyoming, do hereby proclaim the month of May 2008 as
“WYOMING MOTORCYCLE SAFETY AND AWARENESS MONTH”
