Wyoming Literacy Day
WHEREAS, the State of Wyoming values her children above all else; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Wyoming recognize that the ability of their children to read is the cornerstone to their success in life; and
WHEREAS, there are many individuals across the State who are dedicated to improving literacy and the quality of life of our children; and
WHEREAS, I join the citizens of the State of Wyoming in saluting those dedicated professionals and volunteers who work for the cause of literacy in our communities
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Dave Freudenthal, Governor of the State of Wyoming, do hereby declare May 20, 2008 to be
“Wyoming Literacy Day”
and urge all citizens to join the celebration of literacy known as "Wyoming Reads" being held on that date with over 7,500 first grade students across Wyoming!
