STAMP OUT HUNGER DAY
WHEREAS, the National Association of Letter Carriers is conducting the largest one-day food drive; and
WHEREAS, Wyoming letter carriers along with their counter parts rural route carriers and contract carriers have dedicated themselves to help “Stamp Out Hunger” on May 10, 2008; and
WHEREAS, their collection of food from citizens of Wyoming will help to fill food banks, churches, and shelters across Wyoming to feed those in need.
NOW THEREFORE, I, DAVE FREUDENTHAL, Governor of the State of Wyoming, do hereby proclaim May 10, 2008 as
“STAMP OUT HUNGER DAY”
in Wyoming, and urge all citizens of Wyoming to place nonperishable food items by their mail boxes. Your letter carrier will deliver it to the local food banks or pantries to help our community by donating to this worthwhile cause. Together we can “Stamp Out Hunger” in Wyoming.
