WYOMING CORRECTIONAL PROFESSIONALS’ WEEK
WHEREAS, Wyoming Department of Corrections’ staff provides for the safety of Wyoming families and individuals by effectively managing offenders in prison and in the community; and
WHEREAS, Wyoming Department of Corrections’ staff gives offenders opportunities to become law-abiding citizens; and
WHEREAS, Wyoming Department of Corrections’ staff uses research-based approaches; and
WHEREAS, Wyoming Department of Corrections’ staff develops partnerships with victims, community members, public and private agencies to better meet the department’s mission in a meaningful and cost-effective manner; and
WHEREAS, staff is the strength of the Wyoming Department of Corrections and its major resource in achieving its objectives; and
WHEREAS, human relationships, which are principled, ethical and reasonable are the cornerstone of the Wyoming Department of Corrections’ commitment to its mission.
NOW THEREFORE, I, DAVE FREUDENTHAL, Governor of the State of Wyoming, do hereby proclaim May 5-9, 2008, to be
“WYOMING CORRECTIONAL PROFESSIONALS’ WEEK”
in Wyoming, and encourage all citizens to honor these professionals and to recognize their valuable public service.
